"Our production process has improved significantly with the introduction of the LKE system, which has reduced production time and increased quality. ..."

Rainer Kühlwein
Briggs Mono Director of Manufacturing
In view of the constantly increasing demand for the super sports car with road approval, the British production facility in the north-west of England is constantly looking for ways to improve production output. One of the latest efficiency improvements was the introduction of a "warehouse on wheels" with a fleet of LKE SLC 600 trolleys. These enable the kits to accompany the vehicles through the various stages of construction. The benefits include reducing the time taken to transport parts from the warehouses, improving build quality, and reducing build time.
Building vehicles in small quantities places high demands on the optimal efficiency of side loading on the production line, product protection, and quality. The LKE trolleys accompany the bare chassis and are loaded with subassemblies and looms that are preloaded with "subordinate parts." As the chassis moves through the production process, the LKE trolleys move with it. When this part of the process is complete, additional preloaded trolleys such as the powertrain, fuel tank, brake system, and body parts are added.
Rainer Kuhlwein, Briggs Mono Director of Manufacturing, said:
“Our production process has improved significantly with the introduction of the LKE system, which has reduced production time and increased quality. The advantage is that the trolleys are very maneuverable with their own system and can be connected to a trailer train system that is highly precise and runs in perfect harmony on a line, even with a large number of other trolleys.”
