LKE has developed a trailer system for material supply with the tugger train on which the various common standard load carriers, such as Euro pallets or KLT boxes, can be transported.

To ensure that the trailers stay on track, they can be equipped with the virtual coupling/drawbar system.

The industry is increasingly making demands, for example:

  • Optimization of material provision in production
  • Forklift-free production
  • Reduction of routes and optimal use of existing areas

For this reason, a system that combines these requirements was developed in collaboration with manufacturing companies. This is how the virtual clutch/drawbar system from LKE came about. The virtual coupling/drawbar ratio, which has now been tried and tested 100,000 times, achieves the best possible directional stability, ensuring optimum tracking in the tightest of spaces.

The virtual clutch/drawbar system offers a very good price/performance ratio within the chassis systems on offer, such as axle steering.

6-wheel steering offers optimum tracking behavior even when cornering tightly

During the coupling process, the central locking lever is automatically released and the central fixed castors are lowered.

By lifting the centrally aligned fixed castors, lateral movement in both directions is possible via the 4 swivel castors.
