What our employees say

»A friendly working atmosphere«

I completed my apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at LKE in 2010 and was subsequently taken on directly as a sales assistant. During my apprenticeship, I got to know and appreciate every department within the company. Even back then, I liked the close-knit atmosphere and the company’s wide range of services.

When I was suddenly unable to work due to illness at the end of 2014, a regular working life seemed out of the question for a long time. But when I received an offer of a part-time role from LKE in 2021, that was the next step I could take. Thanks to my helpful team, I quickly got back up to speed with the work processes and products. I now have my own area of responsibility again, where – thanks in part to my flexible working hours – I can contribute creatively and independently alongside my physiotherapy appointments and doctor’s visits.

»Progress is encouraged and supported«

My role requires extensive specialist knowledge and a great deal of commitment to ensuring I am always up to date with all relevant topics. Continuing professional development is therefore an integral part of my personal and professional growth.

LKE GmbH has supported me in this endeavour from the very beginning, enabling me, for example, to undertake further training to become a certified specialist in customs and foreign trade, and is currently supporting me in my training to become an industrial management specialist.

The company is always open to suggestions for further training, and you can be sure that progress is both encouraged and supported here – very much in line with my personal motto: ‘Standing still is a step backwards’.

»Promoting a good work-life balance«

After my parental leave, I found the ideal employer for my return to work in LKE GmbH. Flexible working hours and the option to work part-time enabled me to balance family and career. I started out working 20 hours a week, providing support for the accounts and human resources departments. Over the course of my employment, I was able to increase my weekly working hours and am now responsible for my own area of responsibility within financial accounting. It goes without saying that I have now been working at LKE GmbH for over 11 years.

Promoting a good work-life balance is a top priority at LKE.

»LKE – a trusted partner«

Hello, I’m Maik L. and I’m writing my Bachelor’s thesis at LKE GmbH in Marl.

I’m studying Automotive Engineering at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences. Towards the end of my studies, I was looking for a professional company that would support me with my Bachelor’s thesis and where I could gain my first work experience as an engineer. In LKE GmbH, I found just such a partner. Throughout my time at the company, I have always felt very welcome.

My Bachelor’s thesis focuses on the design of a Kanban warehouse system. Here, too, I was supported by a brilliant team.

»A friendly working atmosphere«

Hello everyone,

my name is Dennis and I have been working in the planning department at LKE GmbH since February 2020. I previously completed a six-month work placement here as part of my retraining as an industrial clerk, after which I was given the opportunity to stay on at LKE GmbH.

I already felt very much at home here during my internship and appreciated the friendly, family-like working atmosphere, which – particularly for someone like me with no practical work experience – made it much easier to settle into day-to-day office life and the associated processes.

I enjoy working at LKE-GmbH and can only advise all applicants to come and see for themselves.

»A constant stream of new and exciting tasks and challenges«

Hello everyone,

My name is Marc S. and I am currently undertaking an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at LKE.

I’ve always wanted to do something ‘commercial’. Following my school work experience placement at LKE in 2016, this ambition became even more firmly established.

After completing my A-levels in 2020, I officially began my apprenticeship at LKE and haven’t looked back since.

I’ve already gained valuable insight into the Sales, Purchasing and Technical Office departments, and I’ve repeatedly been entrusted with new and exciting tasks and challenges.

»You are very welcome here«

My name is Stefanie, I’m 32 years young and I had the opportunity to join LKE through a temporary agency. I’ve been with the company since the start of August 2021 and have really come to enjoy my job.

As a qualified office administrator, I work here at reception. My responsibilities include invoicing, assisting my valued colleagues and much more.

I’m also looking forward to taking on further responsibilities in the future and being taken on permanently by the company. Whether you’re facing a challenge or simply want to start the day with enthusiasm, you’re always made to feel very welcome here.

Stefanie M. — Administration

»No two days are the same«

My name is Sophie H. I have been part of the LKE team since 2015. After six months as a temporary worker, I was offered a permanent position. In Großenhain, my role includes acting as the link between staff and the HR department, and I am the first contact person for visitors. My duties include compiling documents, as well as issuing invoices and preparing for meetings. So far, I can say that no two days have been the same.

Sophie H. — Administration

»An integral part of the team, even as a temporary worker«

My name is Kai K. and I started working at LKE GmbH in June 2021 through a temporary employment agency, in the Customer Service Team.

I support the Customer Service Team (CST) in its day-to-day tasks, such as preparing quotations and orders, as well as taking and forwarding telephone enquiries.

Although I was employed through a temporary employment agency, my commitment meant that I was always regarded as an integral part of LKE.

This also led to me being taken on by LKE on a permanent contract in March 2022.

»Working from home works perfectly«

Hello, my name is Anastasiya K. I am a design engineer and have been working in this role at LKE for 13 years. Today, I would like to share my experiences regarding family-friendly policies and working from home. Working from home works perfectly. The company provides all the high-tech equipment needed, so you can work flexibly. Great care is taken to ensure the well-being of staff, and you feel fully involved despite the distance. The HR department is always ready to listen to employees. For me, as the mother of a primary school pupil, a very good solution has been found that helps me balance work and family life more effectively. LKE has also always supported me with my personal matters in the past. I wish all current and future colleagues every success.

Anastasiya K. — Design

»A collaborative working relationship based on trust«

I place great importance on a trusting working relationship!

My name is Waldemar N. I have been working at LKE in Marl since November 2011 and have therefore been here for a full 10 years. I started out as a warehouse clerk and have worked in the warehouse, production and dispatch departments over the years. I am currently employed as a clerk in the Technical Office and am primarily responsible for dispatch. I’m always delighted when, at the end of the day, everything has been dispatched or handed over to the freight forwarding company. I chose this sector back then because I was particularly interested in logistics. That’s exactly what I found at LKE, and I still value it to this day.

Waldemar N. — Technical department

»Varied and challenging roles«

Working at LKE is very varied and challenging.

My name is Marcus T., I am 34 years old and have been delighted to be part of the LKE team since August 2019. I received a warm welcome at the company and particularly in the Technical Department. Initially, I underwent induction training in quality assurance. To ensure I could support the team as effectively as possible, my induction was extended to cover the areas of work planning and costing.

Thanks to my many years’ experience in the field of welding, as well as my qualification as an International Welding Specialist, I have also been working as a welding supervisor within the company since May 2021.

As the father of a young family with a toddler, it isn’t always easy to juggle everything. However, whenever there are issues or appointments involving my child, a solution that works for everyone is always found quickly.
